The Casa Batlló was a house remodeled by Gaudí between 1904 and 1906 for a wealthy factory owner and business man named Mr. Josep Batlló y Casanovas. It was named a world heritage site by UNESCO and has earned the TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice Award from 2013 through 2016, and it is well worth the time to visit!

Once you are outside, take another look at the incredible façade and roof designs, and maybe you will notice more details than your first look.

Casa Batlló is open 365 days a year, from 9 AM to 9 PM. We recommend spending about 45 minutes here as this is how tong the SmartGuide lasts.

To get there, you can take the Metro to Passeig de Gràcia: L2, L3 and L4, the train to the RENFE: Passeig de Gràcia station or the FGC: Provença station, the bus using numbers: H10, V15, 7, 22 y 24, the Barcelona Tourist Bus (Red and Blue) to Casa Batlló – Fundació Antoni Tàpies, or the City Tours (Barcelona Tours) 3 A, Passeig de Gràcia – Casa Batlló.
